Notable FeaturesThis is a mycoheterotrophic orchid, lacking chlorophyll and relying entirely on fungi for nutrients. It is extremely difficult to cultivate outside its natural habitat and is not typically grown as a bonsai. The 'formal-upright' style is chosen as the closest geometric description for its single, vertical stem, despite it not being a tree.
Description
This specimen is a leafless, mycoheterotrophic orchid stalk, displaying developing flower buds. Its slender, pale stem supports multiple yellowish-green, elongated buds, characteristic of the Autumn Coralroot. This is not a traditional bonsai specimen.
